When Lucky was bit by a Copperhead, it was England Run Veterinary Clinic who nursed her back to health. And it is not uncommon to get a personal call from the Doctor after hours to provide updates on lab results or to just check in to see how our Lucky is doing when she is ailing. You are on time for your appointment and you wait like you would at your doctor who scheduled appointments every 15 minutes and the vet is with you for only 15 minutes if that and you get a big bill. I am thankful that a friend of mine suggested I go to England Run and I only wish I had discovered them years before! My Silky Terrier had been licking her paws and wouldn't stop. One vet told me it was boredom. I took her to Engand Run vet and the Doctor did a thorough exam, ran tests and found she had allergies like humans. He gave her a shot and told me to get some OTC allergy meds and it worked! The doctor spent over 45 minutes talking to me. More important, he spent the first few minutes talking to my Coco making her feel at ease. No other vet had ever done that in her first 4 years! I highly recommend England Run Veterinary to anyone looking for a vet who really cares about your family member! I asked if they were taking new patients. The staff member I spoke with said yes, and added they were booking new appointments in February or March unless there was something specific going on with the dog. I advised my dog had been having some stomach issues off and on and recently lost weight. She would not eat for several days, and would also get sick if she ate. The staff member put me on hold, spoke to a doctor and fit my dog in for an appointment on 01-26. I received a call a few days later to let me know of an opening due to a cancellation. I couldn’t get in at the time, but thanked her and said my dog had just been sick that morning. She put me on hold, came back and asked if I could get my dog in later in the afternoon, saying the doctor wanted to try to get her in. I was able to get my dog seen later that afternoon.Dr. Powers and the entire staff were wonderful. The Doctor has followed up with me four times and the staff has called to check on my dog as well.I never knew this is what a Vets Office could be like. I had messed up our appointment date for a completely different day and all of the nurses and Dr. Powers made time for us to still be seen today. They went over all of our vaccination records and health checks thoroughly to make sure they were up to date with her. Dr. Powers then came in and was so good with our baby girl. She isn't local to the office, so it was not convenient to meet me there, yet she did so three different times! Dr. Fisher then sent texts to check on my girl over the weekend as well.
