What is a Companion Animal End of Life Doula?

Hello, my name is Sydney, and I am honored to serve as the End of Life Doula for England Run Veterinary Clinic. My role is to support your family and advocate for your beloved pet during the challenging transition at the end of life.

As your pet’s End of Life Doula, I am here to:

• Guide You Through Options: I’ll walk you through all available options, always keeping your pet’s comfort and well-being as the top priority.
• Offer Perspective: I help you consider the tough questions from your pet’s perspective, ensuring that the decisions made are in their best interest.
• Prepare and Support: I provide your family with the information and emotional support needed to understand and prepare for what the end of life may look like for your pet.

End of Life Doulas are trained to communicate with individuals of all ages, helping everyone involved grasp the why, when, and how of this delicate time. Losing a furry family member is never easy, but having someone to talk to—someone who understands the process and can offer compassionate guidance—can bring a sense of peace as you make the difficult decision to let them go.

I’m here to offer comfort, provide clarity, and be a strong advocate for your pet, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met.
