Kathy, LVT
Hello I’m Kathy. Animals have been the love of my life every since I was a little girl. I lived on our small farm in Fredericksburg for 11 years before moving to Stafford County. I loved taking care of the baby chicks and ducks but I really enjoyed bottle feeding the baby goats. In high school I got my first job as a kennel technician at the age of 16. After high school I decided to become a veterinary technician to pursue my passion for animals. I graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 1999 with an Associates in Applied Science. I decided to go back to college 10 years later to obtain a Bachelors in Applied Science through St. Petersburg, FL and graduated in 2012 not only with my Bachelor’s but an Associate in Arts too. I am certified as a veterinary dental technician and have come to love dentals. I love animal behavior, ultrasound, cardiology and anything to broaden my knowledge to serve as a patient care representative for those who can’t tell us what’s wrong. I currently live in Louisa County with my beagle mix Dixie and 2 cats Ra and North whom were all adopted from Fluvanna SPCA. I recently became an empty nester as my daughter starts her 2nd year at George Mason University. In my free time I like to read, watch movies, listen to music, spend time outside and travel to places I’ve never been before.
